Wars Video Game

As with any new technology or field of activity is always a little confused as to who actually was first. The technology, in particular, is a field in small incremental changes that occurred and the field develops. As for making the first game will take a look at the different stages of video games from The first match played on a cathode ray tube to the first mass produced arcade game and finally the first console game system that was sold to consumers. These three steps are important events that took video games where they are now.

The absolute before the game and the first to be played in any type of cathode ray tube, and the use of some type of computer, it was a missile simulator game played on the screen type move that resembled the age radar screens used during World War II. This game was created by Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann in 1947. The creation of this game was important because it marks the beginning of a new era of cathode ray tube and which can be used. At this point, any display like this are simply used as something to be seen. With this game, a player could look at and make changes to what happened in it. It is interactive!

In 1952, what many consider the game was first created by graphic ASDouglas and was a tic-tac-toe game called OXO. During the next two decades between 1950 and 1960 a variety of other rudimentary games started to make appearances with the use of large computers that were based tube. One of the most notable was the game of tennis for two, which was created by William Higinbotham in 1958. This game was played on an oscilloscope screen.

Video games are becoming more sophisticated and take on more realism in the 60s and the first game to do this was a game called Space War. It was created for a team of Digital Equipment Corporation and there were two spaceships (players) involved in a shooting at a starry background. A important things about this game is that the ships were in a gravity well that affect how they moved and how the player had to operate them. This game has been created and copied in many different versions of arcade and home like Galaxy Wars and in variations like Asteroids.

The first game released

The first game released for the mass public was called Computer Space. It was based on space warfare game and was a coin operated game arcade style created by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney. It was released in 1971. And in 1972 they released the game Pong, which was a great success. These games were the beginning of the company Atari.

Video Games pass Establish home television

The first video game system that can be played on a TV at home was the Magnavox Odyssey. It was designed by Ralph Baer and his first made public in 1972 and had only limited success. In 1975, the real revolution in video games for the home began with the launch of the home version of Pong, Atari. Atari landed an exclusive contract for 175,000 units with Sears would market and sell in their stores. The game was a success for the Christmas 1975 season. A little thought about the speed on this game was that all the discrete wiring was designed in a single chip is the most advanced chip for consumer electronics ever made until then. This opened a new world of computer games.

Video games have had a interesting story with a lot of different people contributing to their success. They have come a long way and no doubt many more interesting and exciting events come.
