I saw something on the History Channel about World War II dramatically changed the war?

I saw the item World War II and a type I'm not sure if he was in the U.S. or Germany, but met with some planning documents in a warehouse where the Germans had plans to weapons and handed them over to the U.S. and this was one of the ways that helped us win the war. Does anyone know anything about this?

There was something about the other day Allied maps created for planning the D-Day invasion, and I think he mentioned how the French resistance helped obtain a copy of the plans for the Wall Atlantic, but nothing about the secret weapons.
